“The food was decent and the location is very central, close to Reforma. Staff were consistently courteous, and I appreciated the free wake-up calls and ironing. The room was modern and had a microwave, coffeemaker, and refrigerator.”

7.8Verified guest

“The room I got didn’t match the photos — I booked a double with two double beds and got one double and one single. Also, my request for a wake-up call wasn’t passed on (room 706, September 9). The shower floor is slippery and needs better treatment. The location is great, but the Wi-Fi is painfully slow — even on the 7th floor, I couldn’t rely on it to look up tourist spots. I'd recommend with caveats: don’t depend on the internet, and note that the desk staff can be unreliable, though everyone else was professional.”

7.8Verified guest

“The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and I liked having a couch and a kitchen area in the room.”

7.8Verified guest

“The hall staff were very friendly and attentive to every detail. Always excellent service attitude.”

7.8Verified guest

“Thank you for a really good stay. Perfect hotel with nice interior design, amazing location — close to the zoo, Anthropology Museum, and Rufino Tamayo Museum, as well as Reforma 222. Excellent service.”

7.8Verified guest

“I liked the location — it’s perfect for getting around Mexico City, and the area has great food options. There’s an Oxxo and a bank right across the street. The rooms are big and clean, though the photos don’t exactly match what you find. The reception staff were super nice; they helped me with a package from my country and kept me updated. I was on the ninth floor with a view of the Angel of Independence, which was perfect. If you’re sensitive to noise from nearby bars and restaurants, ask for a room on the fourth floor or higher.”

The bottom line

Exe Suites San Marino delivers on location and comfort for exploring Mexico City, with spacious rooms and a helpful team. But if you rely on strong Wi-Fi or expect a polished, modern property, you may be disappointed. Best for travellers who prioritise a central base over pristine facilities.

7.8The trade-off: a great address, but not a spotless one.
